SPL Tryout Camp Program
The SPL Tryout Camp is available to anyone over the age of 18 that is not participating in NCAA basketball and will take place on July 5 -7, 2007. The tryouts will consist of skills tests, practices, and pro-like games. Each player will be assigned to the same team and have the same coach throughout the Camp. Participants will be evaluated by coaches and the SPL selection committee.
The Tryout Camp is for those who have the skills for a professional basketball career, but have not received the exposure that their talents deserve. There will be seminars on nutrition, weight training, what to expect from agents, and International pay scales.
On the final day of Camp, participants will be given an evaluation (written and verbal) by their coach. Every effort will be made to give each participant his selection status at that time. The 2007 Summer Pro League at the Pyramid in Long Beach will begin on Thursday July 8, 2007 and conclude with the championship game on Sunday July 15, 2007.
