The Summer Pro League (SPL) internship program aims to educate its participants in all aspects of operating a professional sports organization. Through observation and practical experience, interns learn how to function in a professional environment that requires a high energy level, and the ability to perform under pressure. Through these developments, the Summer Pro League strives to successfully prepare interns to compete for positions in the professional sports industry.
All candidates are required to have excellent communication, organization and computer skills, as well as a serious interest in the field of the internship for which you would like to be considered. The SPL accepts interns throughout the year.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Information Technology - Provide day-to-day computer support and network administration. Preferred to be candidate for Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with proficiency in Windows hardware and software support with basic networking. Graphic design experience is also desired.
Hospitality/Concierge Services - Secure hospitality night sponsors, provide concierge services for NBA, and all VIP guests, must be 21 years old for this position.
Marketing/Game Operations - Experience in marketing, promotions and event management. Will assist with coordinating game operations, half-time entertainment, game-night giveaways, and in-game entertainment.
Corporate Sales / Sponsorship Sales - Assist with creating and preparing sales presentations. Assist with game-night sponsor hospitality events and promotions and other sponsor needs. Assist with sponsor communication regarding ad materials, specs and logos. Update and post sponsor content on summerproleague.com. Assist and monitor execution of in-arena sponsored elements. Prospect new leads for group sales via the internet. Coordinate mailings and process payments and ticket requests from clients.
Media Relations – Assist with all duties and responsibilities relating to media relations. Assist in the dissemination of media information and utilize any writing skills to enhance and aid the publications and website.
Statisticians - Experience with college or professional basketball statistics program(s).
National Anthem Singers - If you are interested in performing the national anthem prior to an SPL game, please forward a musical resume, current photograph and tape/CD of your performance of the National Anthem to our office.
Half-time Performers - If you are interested in performing at
half-time of SPL games, please send us a tape/CD to our SPL office.
Public Address Announcers - If you have experience in P. A. Announcing
