About the Summer Pro League
Tryout Camp dates are July 12 and 13, 2012.
League dates are July 1 - July 29, 2012 *Championship game on July 30, 2012.

The Southern California Summer Pro League ("SPL") is entering its 39th year as the premier summer showcase for basketball's greatest teams and showmen. The League is the summer stage where undiscovered players perform. It is the medium through which both raw and experienced basketball talent can maintain and hone their skills through competitive league play.
Every NBA team has participated in the SPL throughout its unprecedented history. Not surprisingly, SPL has served as a launching pad for many great NBA careers. Over 800 current and former NBA players have participated in the League. No basketball organization in the world possesses the quality and diversity of great competitors that the League has enjoyed for over three decades. NBA players, international teams, and the greatest college players in America--the Summer Pro League has it all!

Greg Oden (NBA: Portland Trailblazers) Center, 6’10’’
Selected no. 1 in the 2007 draft. Career has been marred with a series of knee injuries. On February 20, 2012, Oden suffered another setback having a 2nd microfracture surgery on his left knee.

Brandan Wright (NBA: Dallas Mavericks) Power Forw. 6’10’’
Chosen eigth overall in the 2007 draft by the Charlotte Bobcats but was traded to the Golden State Warriors for Jason Richardson. Was traded to the New Jersey Nets in Feb. 2011. He recently signed a deal in Dec. 20111 with the Dallas Mavericks. So far he hasn't lived up to his potential. |

Selected 2nd by the Seattle Supersonics who soon moved to Oklahoma City. Lead the NBA in scoring during the 2009 season. Won NBA Rookie of the Year in 2007 and was named
on to the 2010 All_NBA Team.

Hawes was drafted by the Sacramento Kings as the 10th pick, 2007. Was traded in June, 2010 to the Philadelphia 76ers for Samuel Dalembert. |

Chosen 9th by the Chicago Bulls. Known for his high energy and defense. Named to the ALL NBA 2nd Team Defense in 2011. |

Thaddeus was selected 12th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers where he currently averages 12.5 ppg. Career highlights; 2008 NBA All Rookie 2nd Team. |

Chase Budinger (NBA: Houston Rockets) Shooting Guard,
6’7’’
Was selected 44th overall (2nd round) by the Detroit Pistons and then traded to the Houston Rockets on draft night. Career high in scoring was 35 pts. against the Timberwolves during the 2011 season.

Corey Brewer (NBA: Denver Nuggets) Shooting Guard, 6’8’’
Was drafted 7th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Was involved in a blockbuster trade to the New York Knicks with Carmelo Anthony. Signed with the Dallas Mavericks in Mar. 2011 and won a World Championship. In Dec. 2011 was traded to the Denver Nuggets for Rudy Fernandez. |
